Nice to Meet You!

One of the biggest influences on me, personally, professionally, and artistically though, was my time spent working with the American Tap Dance Foundation. Through them I was exposed to the work of the Copasetics, got to expand my experience teaching both adults and kids, and got to learn from the experience of amazing dancers like Brenda Bufalino and members of the American Tap Dance Orchestra.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to relocate to New Orleans, Louisiana. I'm not sure where my journey will take me in my new town, but I hope to continue working with amazing fellow dancers and musicians, as well as being able to focus on my own work and choreography. Of course, if you're interested in finding out where I go next, you can always find me here!

Hi, I'm Craig Fuchs, a tap dancer, choreographer, and teacher originally from Detroit, Michigan. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in dance from Wayne State University, I spent 10 years living in New York City.

While there, I had the opportunity to work with amazing dancers and choreographers in the tap dance, Lindy hop, and vernacular jazz world. As a tap dancer, I performed with choreographers such as Derick K. Grant, Max Pollak, Susan Hebach, and Caleb Teicher.

In the Lindy hop/vernacular jazz realm, I performed with Syncopated City Dance Company at Jacob's Pillow, with choreographer Ryan Francois and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and with choreographer Roddy Caravella at the annual Jazz Age Lawn Party, to name only a few. To see some of these projects, check out my "Portfolio" page!
